My Personal Favourite Apps, Websites, and Programs (Recommended for Students)

 

I personally think that it is already time that you might as well take advantage of the digital world we are currently living in. Here are some of many apps, websites, programs that can give you some extra support by keeping you organized, smart, and pro-active through high school and even college:

Grammarly (Google Chrome extension)

Basic functions:

  • Checks and corrects grammar errors
  • Gives you the correct grammar and explains grammar rules
  • Usable for all sites: WordPress, Tumblr, etc.

 

Perks:

  • Improves your grammar (duh)
  • You can turn it off if you wish

 

Duolingo for learning languages

Basic functions:

  • Duolingo is an online course
  • It lets you learn a language through sound, sight, and speech
  • Has a lot of sections covered: grammar, vocabulary, verbs, etc.

 

Perks:

  • It is free
  • It is an app as well as a website
  • You can duel with other people
  • Gives you instructions and explanations
  • You can learn more than 1 language

Lanes (Google Chrome extension)

Basic functions:

  • Gives you a daily to-do list pad
  • Displays clock
  • Displays timer

 

Perks:

  • It is a free Google Chrome extension
  • Customizable background

 

Rainy Mood

  • Gives you the sound of rainfall
  • Helps you to “focus, relax, and sleep”

  • It is free
  • It displays a daily track, which you can listen to while there’s the background music of the rain

  • Offers multiple background music such as fire, rain, fountain, etc. which will help you relax and focus

  • You can merge multiple sounds if you like

  • A website where you can listen to millions of playlists and create your own

  • It is free
  • You can share your playlists
  • There are millions of awesome study playlists
  • You can find various genres of music

Basic function:

  • A visual interaction between vloggers and the audience

 

Perks:

  • It is free
  • You can find great channels specifically to certain subjects. Like SciShow for science nerds.
